Why we should drink water in the morning

Most of us tend to reach for the kettle and a teabag when we stumble out of bed in the morning. 
But according to one expert, we should be making sure we fill up a big glass of water first.
Nutrition and exercise scientist Kathleen Alleaume told Mail Online that getting enough of the clear stuff first thing in the morning is essential for weight loss and healthy living.
'Water fires up your metabolism gives your brain fuel and helps your body flush out toxins,' she advises.
Your body is playing 'catch up' breaking down toxins and extracting nutrients, and a large glass of water can help kick-start this process.
But, don't worry, that doesn't mean you have to completely give up the caffeine – you can still enjoy your brew afterwards.
Just make sure you continue drinking enough water to balance out coffee and tea's dehydrating effects.'
